I am so used to seeing Martin Scorsese’s normal rated R movies, so this was a nice change. I really enjoyed this movie. The ensemble cast works extremely well together, it’s extremely visually interesting, and it’s really heartwarming story. Where I really got interested was in the last half of the movie, which turned into basically a love letter to movies, which I really enjoyed. Asa Butterfiled and Chloe Grace Moretz were charming as Hugo and Isabelle. The performance I liked the best though was Sacha Baron Cohen as the Station Inspector. I absolutely loved him. This is actually one of my favorite roles I’ve seen him in. I loved the way it was shot, especially the first 15 minutes. Starting from a sprawling 1930s skyline and zooming in on the train station, it was great to watch. Although the 3D and CGI effects were obvious, it didn’t distract too much. Overall, this is a charming family movie that is worth a watch.

Honestly, I probably would have had a similar reaction. They say in the video that she is not a painter, she is a fashion designer. I think her painting is actually quite interesting, and everyone in the class is ripping on it. The first one was so inarticulate she could barely get her words out. Plus, it’s supposed to be a class. Why are the students so hypercritical? The point of a class is to learn not to slice someone down who wants to learn. So in the end, I have a problem with how she was critiqued, not the fact that she destroyed her work. It takes a lot to take something like that, that is a piece of yourself and to put it out there. I’ve been in the same place. There are a few of my acting scenes or devised pieces for work that I wish I could have physically destroyed, because of either how I felt I did or the reception of it, but you know, can’t really destroy a scene haha. Basically, what I mean by this rant is I get it.

Chicken Pot Pie Bundles

So, basically, these are like chicken pot pie appetizers, and they are really good!

Egg roll wrappers/wonton wrappers are my new favorite thing. They are so easy to work with.

Anyway, this wasn’t too hard to make. A lot of mincing and cutting. Definitely pre slice everything before cooking, because there’s a lot and it cooks really quickly.

Also, this recipe makes exactly enough for 12, so if you want more, then double it.

Other than that, this was pretty easy. My dad loved them, so there’s the seal of approval there!
